Aboriginal day (Trout lake park)

June 21st, 12pm to 10pm

Join us as we celebrate National Aboriginal Day at Trout Lake with a community-based, full day of events set to showcase and celebrate the diversity of Indigenous people across Canada.

Cloverdale market days

June 24th, 

Located in Historic Downtown Cloverdale and in it's third year, Cloverdale Market Days events run three times each year and are attended by thousands of locals and tourists.

Canada Day (Abbotsford Exhibition Park)

June 30th, 6pm-9pm. July 1st, 11am-11pm

Starting at 11am, the 150th birthday celebrations take over the city. Start the day with the Prospera Credit Union parade down South Fraser Way (parade starts at 11am). After that, head on over to the Abbotsford Exhibition Park for family-fun starting at 1pm. Enjoy live entertainment, a food truck festival, community displays, hayrides & mini golf, and dog zone. There are also pony rides, interactive play zones, and the Abbotsford Arts Council Artisan Market. Finish off the day with a fireworks celebration starting at 10pm at Abbotsford Exhibition Park. Happy Canada Day!

And just for Canada’s 150th birthday, the celebrations are actually starting before July 1st. On June 30th, (6pm – 9pm) everyone is invited to enjoy live entertainment at the Abbotsford Exhibition Park.

Street food showdown (Olympic Village)

July 2nd, 11am-7pm

YVR Food Fest’s flagship event! Upwards of 80 food carts and restaurants will be on hand. Each one will offer up an affordable tasting menu items that allows one to sample as many different food carts and restaurants as they can handle. This feeding frenzy will be complemented by pairings from the top breweries, wineries, and distilleries in the province.

The Big Brunch (Olympic Village)

July 3rd 11am-3pm

A unique event, and the first of it’s kind in Vancouver! A gigantic outdoor brunch that feature every conceivable type of delicious brunch fare from some of the city’s best restaurants and cafés. In addition to the main event, we’ll be staging multiple food/drink events: a Caesar competition, a breakfast sandwich cook-off, and a cold-brew kegger featuring the city’s best coffee roasters. 

Khatsahlano Street Party (w.4th ave.)

July 8th, 11am-9pm

The West 4th Avenue Khatsahlano Street Party is Vancouver’s largest free Music + Arts Festival! Khatsahlano features multiple stages showcasing more than 50 of Vancouver’s top musical performers as well as the eclectic work of local artisans and street performers. This 10-block street fair, spanning from Burrard to MacDonald Street also features a wide variety of food options, bustling patios, giveaways, special activities, and licensed beer gardens!

Canada 150: Canada Goes Pacific

Granville Island, July 21, 22nd & 23rd

The Centre culturel francophone de Vancouver will present a three-day program of enriching and significant artistic and cultural experiences in French. To celebrate this historic anniversary of our country, both indoor and outdoor activities and shows will be presented (mainly) on Granville Island.

Fridays on Front (New Westminster)

July 28th, 5pm-8pm

Fridays on Front will run every Friday evening from 5:00-8:00pm for eight consecutive weeks (July 7 – August 25) on the 600-block of Front Street. The family friendly market will feature artisan vendors from the New West Farmers Market and New West Craft, live music from the New Westminster Arts Council, Front Street businesses and of course, our favourite Food Trucks form the Columbia StrEAT Food Truck Fest. The Downtown New West BIA has teamed up with Steel & Oak Brewing Co. to fully license Front Street. You’ll be able to grab a Steel & Oak beer or glass of wine from Vancouver’s first bar truck, the Vagabond Bar Truck, then stroll throughout the event, enjoying live music, unique shopping, a riverfront breeze and scenic views. Free admission!

Columbia StrEAT Food Festival

July 29th, 4pm-10pm

It's official. Canada's largest one day food truck event is on! This year marks the festival's 5th year in action. Food trucks will line the streets of Downtown New Westminster's Columbia Street Saturday July 29th from 4.00pm - 10.00pm.
